WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

Christ said: "Repent and believe in the Gospel" (Mark 1:15).

True repentance is more than just feeling sorry for your sin and promising

never to do it again: It is a CHANGE OF CONDUCT and OF BELIEF.

It is leaving behind your confidence in yourself, in your good works, and

in religious “deeds” (i.e., baptism, communion, church attendance, rosary,

  penitence, man-made saints, etc.).

+  It is putting yourself in COMPLETE DEPENDENCE upon Jesus Christ,

trusting only in Him to save you.

Regarding your hope of going to heaven, the first truth you must accept

and apply to yourself is that you have a PROBLEM that YOU can’t fix:

you are a sinner by birth, by choice, and by habit and your sin separates

you from God. BUT THERE IS HOPE: God knows all about your sin

problem and He already has provided the ONLY solution.

#2: ACKNOWLEDGE what Jesus Christ did FOR YOU:

The Good News of the Gospel is:

"God demonstrates His love towards us, in that while we were

yet sinners, Christ died for us. For God so loved the world,

that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever

believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

    (Romans 5:8; John 3:16).

TRUST EXCLUSIVELY in that the death of Christ is the only all-sufficient

payment for your sins. You can’t add anything to what He has already

done: He died in your place for your sins and rose from the dead in

order to offer you the GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE:

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God

is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"

    (Romans 6:23).

There is only ONE WAY to God. Jesus Christ said:

" I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes

to the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6).

Salvation is a GIFT OF GOD’S GRACE,

received BY FAITH ALONE (“good works” can’t save you):

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that

not of yourselves: it is the gift of God — not of works,

lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

> The Bible is very clear: we are saved by grace through faiththat’s it!

Jesus Christ is the ONLY MEDIATOR:

"For there is one God, and one mediator between

God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
